Our Purpose
The Trinity Youth Ministry is a place where our students and families are loved, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as they grow in their faith. Our youth ministries include fifth grade all the way through college students.
Our primary goal is to help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them the resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness and serve others. We also give them the skills and the support groups they need to make wise decisions at this critical time in their lives.
Our Groups
Don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life. – 1 Timothy 4:12
Under the direction of the Trinity youth department, Trinity’s Junior High Youth Ministry exists to help young people learn to share Christ’s story with love. This is done mainly through teaching kids what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.
Service Projects
Every week Trinity’s Social Ministry offers service projects that students can do with their families, both on and off campus. Periodically, we also offer special youth-only activities. These all count toward confirmation service project requirements.
Youth Group
High schoolers grades 9th-12th! Join us for Senior High Youth Group on Sundays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm! Expect a fantastic Christian community, a chill time, and stellar games! As always, we meet in the Senior High Youth Room. Enter Door 6 (off of Deshon behind the big tree).
We have a yearly Hischool mission opportunity! We send a team down to Mexicali in early April every year made up of high school students, college students, and adults, lead by our Youth Ministry leader and leaders of our partner organization for the trip, Octane Ministry. It is a wonderful trip in which our students join together with local Mexican ministries to meet the needs of the community down there. We plan and lead VBS programs, visit and play basketball with prisoners, lead a community clean up team, and build a house for a family in need each year. Members of Trinity have been going on this trip for nearly 20 years now! We begin our weekly meetings for this trip in late January to make this trip a success.
Our College and Young Adult Ministry is a great opportunity for college students and those just out of college to get involved. The first, most consistent opportunity is our weekly Bible study.
This Bible Study meets at Trinity in the Sr. High room on Tuesday nights from 8:00-9:30ish. To get into the building, please come to door 6 (the northern door on the east side of the building, off of Deshon St.) and push the buzzer to the Sr. High Room. Once buzzed in, come to the top of the stairs to find the Sr. High room! We read the Bible, discuss it, and typically have fun and games after!
The second opportunity our College Ministry is involved in is our Mexicali Mission trip. We send a team down to Mexicali in early April every year made up of high school students, college students, and adults and lead by our Youth Ministry leader and leaders of our partner organization for the trip, Octane Ministry. It is a wonderful trip in which our students join together with local Mexican ministries to meet the needs of the community down there. Members of Trinity have been going on this trip for nearly 20 years now! We begin our weekly meetings for this trip in late January to make this trip a success.
Our ministry is always welcoming new friends, there is no better time to join than now!
