Our Purpose

The Trinity Youth Ministry is a place where our students and families are loved, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as they grow in their faith. Our youth ministries include fifth grade all the way through college students.

Our primary goal is to help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them the resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness and serve others. We also give them the skills and the support groups they need to make wise decisions at this critical time in their lives.

Our Groups

Junior High Youth

Don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life. – 1 Timothy 4:12

Junior High is for young people in seventh and eighth grades and is under the direction of the Trinity youth department.  Students in these grades are welcome to join in any event, no matter which school they attend.

Trinity’s Youth Ministry exists to help young people learn to share Christ’s story with love. This is done mainly through teaching kids what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.

Bible Study
Every regular (non-holiday) Sunday between Labor Day and Memorial Day we have a fun program for Middle School students from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Our curriculum helps young people explore the truth of the Bible through discussion and sometimes doing hands-on projects and experiments.  Each child is also encouraged to bring and use their own Bible in class, as well as throughout the week.
  • 7th and 8th grade  meets in the Jr. High Room on the 3rd floor of the school.
  • 5th and 6th grade meets in room 310 on the 3rd floor of the school.
Service Projects

Every week Trinity’s Social Ministry offers service projects that students can do with their families, both on and off campus.  Periodically, we also offer special youth-only activities. These all count toward confirmation service project requirements.

Youth Group
Join us monthly for our 5th-8th grade youth group opportunity! We will be in the Junior High Room from 7:00pm-8:30pm learning about Christ and being in fellowship with one another! Expect time for games and time in the Word! Bring yourself and your Bible. Enter Door 6 (off of Deshon behind the big tree).
Our current series is following the Sparkhouse Re:form Ancestors curriculum. We are diving into famous figures of the Old Testament to learn more about how their stories lead to the Messiah in the New Testament! Questions? Contact DCE Intern Janis Buelow at
Senior High Youth

Senior High Youth meets on Sundays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Senior High Youth Room.

College Ministry

Our College and Young Adult Ministry is a great opportunity for college students and those just out of college to get involved. The first, most consistent opportunity is our weekly Bible study.

This Bible Study  meets at Trinity in the Sr. High room on Tuesday nights from 8:00-9:30ish. To get into the building, please come to door 6 (the northern door on the east side of the building, off of Deshon St.) and push the buzzer to the Sr. High Room. Once buzzed in, come to the top of the stairs to find the Sr. High room! We read the Bible, discuss it, and typically have fun and games after!

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, masks are required at all indoor Youth/College Events

The second opportunity our College Ministry is involved in is our Mexicali Mission trip. We send a team down to Mexicali in early April every year made up of high school students, college students, and adults and lead by our Youth Ministry leader and leaders of our partner organization for the trip, Octane Ministry. It is a wonderful trip in which our students join together with local Mexican ministries to meet the needs of the community down there. We plan and lead VBS programs, visit and play basketball with prisoners, lead a community clean up team, and build a house for a family in need each year.. Members of Trinity have been going on this trip for nearly 20 years now! We begin our weekly meetings for this trip in late January to make this trip a success.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Mexicali 2021 trip has been cancelled. A service opportunity to take its place is currently being decided.

Our ministry is always welcoming new friends, there is no better time to join than now!

Throughout middle school students will work closely with parents through our family-based confirmation curriculum.
