The Trinity Youth Ministry is a place where our students and families are loved, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as they grow in their faith. Our youth ministries include fifth grade all the way through college students.
Our primary goal is to help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them the resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness and serve others. We also give them the skills and the support groups they need to make wise decisions at this critical time in their lives.
Don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life. – 1 Timothy 4:12
Junior High is for young people in seventh and eighth grades and is under the direction of the Trinity youth department. Students in these grades are welcome to join in any event, no matter which school they attend.
Trinity’s Youth Ministry exists to help young people learn to share Christ’s story with love. This is done mainly through teaching kids what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.
Every week Trinity’s Social Ministry offers service projects that students can do with their families, both on and off campus. Periodically, we also offer special youth-only activities. These all count toward confirmation service project requirements.
Senior High Youth meets on Sundays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Senior High Youth Room.
Our College Ministry is an great opportunity for college students to get involved. The first, most consistent opportunity is our weekly Bible study.
The college Bible Study that has been meeting at Shield’s Pizza is relocating to the Panera Bread on Hall Rd. between Hayes and Schoenherr. We will still meet from 8:30 to about 9:30 pm.
This is a group study led by leaders from Trinity, Immanuel, and St Peter. We have students from every church as well as many students that aren’t from any of our churches. The leaders rotate each week which gives us the ability to meet so consistently all the time and have a different style of teaching each week. It has been a wonderful opportunity for our local students to get plugged in as well as our students who are home for the summer to get involved with a wonderful study. Awesome time to work through the Bible in a comfortable environment.
The second big thing our College Ministry is involved in is our Brazil Mission trip. We send a team down to Brazil every year made up of college students and lead by our Director of Young Adult Ministries. It is a wonderful trip in which our students join together with missionary Pastor Paulino Ratund, whose ministry is fully supported by Trinity and gives our students a wonderful opportunity to see what Trinity is doing is Brazil and what we can do to help. We have been doing this trip going on three years now and the work that is done is primarily focused on leading activities for elementary students such as VBS, arts and crafts, games, and health education.
We plan on having many different opportunities and events and will continue to update you as things get closer!
Throughout middle school students will work closely with parents through our family-based confirmation curriculum.
