Tiredness

Sometimes I’ve noticed that when we’re feeling tired or burnt out, the best thing that we can do is read some words of encouragement. So, for this week, I wanted to share with you my top five best quotes or Bible verses that bring me some encouragement when life seems to be getting me down.

  1. “Climb mountains not so the world can see you, but so you can see the world.” – David McCullough Jr.
  2. “You simply have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Put blinders on and plow right ahead.” – George Lucas
  3. “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” Psalm 145:18
  4. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
  5. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

These words are awesome because you can use them in many different ways. In the past, I’ve written them down and stuck them on a mirror or on my door so that I can read these words before I leave for work. I hope that these words have brought you some peace of mind this week.

Dear God, bring me a state of rest and calm as I go through these murky times. Amen.
