Sleep-Out for Homeless Awareness

May 14 - 15, 8:00 pm - 8:00 am  |  Trinity Lutheran Church

45160 Van Dyke Avenue, Utica, MI, USA

Trinity is hosting an overnight Homeless Awareness Sleep-out. We ask that you abandon your beds and homes to experience homelessness for one night so children and families in Macomb County do not have to!
Bring yourself or your family and spend the night in your car, a tent or rough it in a sleeping bag or refrigerator box. Reach out to your friends and family to share your plans and your experience and raise funds and help Hearts for Homes get families into permanent affordable and sustainable housing.
Before, during and after your sleep-out, you can share your experience via social media, in conversation or think outside of the box in sharing your experience and ask others to support you in this cause. If your friends and family don’t want to sleep alongside you during the event, they may lend support via donation!
It costs approximately $500 per child to take a family off the streets and establish them into a stable home. Raising $10,000 will help get 20 homeless children into homes! Skip sleeping in your own bed one night and campaign for a child to have a bed of their own and a roof over their head.
