The time is coming.
Our capital campaign is themed Our Father’s House...A Beacon of Hope in keeping with the “immeasurably more” process taken from Ephesians 3: “Now to Him Who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine….” The process moves through very distinct phases — Imagine, Inform, Inspire, and Impact — or, as we have noted, we move from “I Wish” to “I See” to “I Agree” to “I’m In” to experiencing Immeasurably More.
We’re moving into the Inspire phase of the campaign.
During the Imagine phase and the Inform phase, the conversation has been revolving around why we’re doing the campaign. The focus of the first two phases has been on the “head:” do we understand what God is calling us to do, and are we in agreement? Now, the focus shifts to the “heart” as each of us has to grapple with the question of the willingness to participate and at what level.
We have said this campaign is a spiritual process, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the Inspire phase. We’ll get into the Word together, pray together, and worship together, seeking direction from the Holy Spirit as we fill out our commitment cards.
We realize that we all are at different economic stages. We ask that you prayerfully consider all that the Lord has given to you and then decide on your depth of participation. Perhaps you will find yourself committing to a dollar amount that you would not have thought possible. We will honor that and trust the direction of the Spirit. Maybe you’ll be led to defer from participation at this time. In either case, we will honor your decision and trust the direction of the Spirit.
As we move from “I Wish” to “I See” to “I Agree” to “I’m In,” what a joy it will be when all of us can say “I’m In” together! That’s when we’ll experience Immeasurably More.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Norm Koy
